Hi! I’m Minato Aquila and I wrote my first book (Betrayal) when I was twelve-years-old. Why did I write Betrayal?
Well, to start off, I, as a person, am very creative. I find art in everything, ranging from life itself, to death, in scary, in wholesome, in fiction, in real life, etc. etc.
I have always dreamt weird dreams, of inspiring dreams, dreams that question your insanity. And guess what. I find art in those, too. So much so that I took inspiration from a dream I had back in 2022 to base Betrayal off.
I run a YouTube channel where I educate others on different Christian topics. Things like: Is Christianity homophobic? Can Christians experience gender dysphoria? But some other times, I’ll just post author-related videos, like writing sprints. Or random vlogs.
The whole idea of this site is for me to basically give out content related to my books or just random stories I want to write out. Essentially, it’s like a Wattpad, but specifically just for me to write out stories. I did originally want to write solely AU (alternate universe) stories of my book characters but, occasionally writing stories of random characters I come up with in the moment can be accepted. 😛
One thing about me is I looooove music. Surprisingly, I’m not someone who bases off how good a song is by the lyrics, but how it sounds. Genres I am most interested in are metalcore, k-pop, alternative, and electric. I know… Crazy group of genres.
I only have two favorite songs at the moment: Holy Death by Mr. Kitty, and Heroin by Ghost Town.
Collecting is a small hobby I have on the far side of every other hobby I have. I collect things like anime figurines, bells, clown-related items, bear-related items, small toys, folding fans, fortunes from Fortune Cookies, and more!
I have always had this dream of being known world-wide. Maybe it’s because people never liked me, therefore leaving me to myself during school hours, but being “famous” seemed appealing to me since my early ages. First, it started just wanting to be a YouTuber, then a TikTok influencer. Now… It’s wanting to be known as Minato the author.
Being a writer is a very good excuse for me to write out ideas that I want to see or experience in the real world. Photography just so happens to exist and be just as alluring as writing stories. It’s like… writing is the idea just being thrown out there, and then the photography is actually seeing the idea with your eyes; manifested.
Things like liminal spaces have always stood out to me more than anything. I’m not scared easily (if anything… at all, at this point), so creepy things are an interest of mine (e.g. liminal spaces, the backrooms, horror movies, etc.). That applies with things like writing, photography, videography and more.
