About Me | Minato Aquila

Warning, a long read.

Who the hell is Minato Aquila?

Well, if you're here, I'd hope you've seen me somewhere like on Instagram...(because that is in fact where I am most active). If you somehow stumbled upon this outside of IG, I'd be extremely surprised. In fact, I don't believe you...

Kidding, kidding, whether you've seen me from Instagram or not, you are welcome, and I will gladly tell you who I am.

I am Minato Aquila. Duh. But, I am specifically a teenage, indie author!! Yes, you read that right, I'm both a little baby child and an indie author.

If you don't know what an indie author is, it means that I am not under any agent to publish, market, and/or edit my book. I do all of that myself. The author part, well, it just means I have a published book available for purchase on Amazon. Do not buy it. I hate it.

"Minato, why would you provide a link to the book if you don't want anyone reading it?" "And why do you hate it?!"

The answer is simple...It all started a long, long, long time ago...

Ahem, ahem, no, sorry. So, basically, I wrote Betrayal, my zombie apocalypse dystopian, young adult (YA), thriller novella, when I was twelve. Yes, again, you read that right.

Little ol' me had a dream (because I have the best, most vivid dreams on Earth and I love them so much), she took inspiration and decided, "I'm gonna turn this into a book." So, I did. In six months. So, if you ever read Betrayal, just know that the ending is the inspiration from the dream. :) Though, I highly advise you don't read it. It has a good plot (sort of), but the writing is horrendous. If you've ever read anything off of Wattpad...it'd be like that.

I'm hoping one day, after I've written fifty million other books, that I can rewrite it because I do think that it has SO much great potential.

Anyway, I provided a link because it's like a little honor towards my past self for creating such a wonderfully horrible piece of work (and for setting me up for a very fun career.

Speaking of which. I am currently working on my debut novel, Stuck in Laemek (lay-meck). You'll never believe this but I started writing it when I was thirteen... Yeah. So, in November of 2026, it will officially be Stuck in Laemek's third birthday. Sigh... They grow up so fast...

Stuck in Laemek is a YA romantasy (romance fantasy). It is about this nineteen year old girl stuck in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend of three years (I think). Why she is stuck, there's two reasons. One being that if she tried, Thomas (the POS boyfriend), would probably find her and do everything in his power to keep her latched onto him, and two, because she despises change. Change is unfamiliar, it feels threatening; it's scary.

So, Anastasia, this nineteen year old girl, gets into an argument with Thomas, so, she leaves to regain some semblance of peace (and yes, he allows it because he knows she'll come back). Only...she doesn't come back. Anastasia's truck breaks down and now she is stranded in an unfamiliar area. She goes out looking for someone to help, and finds herself being kidnapped into a different realm called Laemek...

She wakes up in Laemek and meets a man---who happens to be a human with wolf ears and a tail (wolf Demi-human)---and makes it her ultimate mission to escape this freakshow of a world. Oh, was it mentioned that she's fallen victim to the weird animal features standard? Ahh, because she has. Unfortunately for her.

But, that's just the synopsis of the book. There's no publish date yet, but I'm estimating it to be released sometime in...early to mid 2027. There's no way I'm getting it done this year.......Well, I could if I tried hard enough.

Anywho, OFF the topic of my books, let's get into the main topic....me.

Here are a few basic things about me:

My favorite color is purple---though, I like every other color equally and do not believe that there are any ugly colors; just colors that need to be paired with harmonizing or complementary colors (and objects).

My birthday is January eighth.

I despise odd numbers. No, really, on Instagram I ONLY post on even numbered days. Odd numbers are ugly, and even numbers can have pairs...Unlike odd numbers.

My favorite animals, ranked, are:

Bears, hammerhead sharks, armadillos, snake pythons, and owls.

I have a phobia of...Gulp...Worms. I can hardly look at the word. As I am writing this, I'm doing everything I can to avoid looking at the word. I also can hardly say the word. In fact, my family and I call them "earth snakes". My brother came up with it many years ago and it's stuck. So never refer to those things as what they are, refer to them as earth snakes when you are around me, or I will start crying.

I'm not a fan of labels. Labels can be helpful, sure, but using them can also be dangerous as well. Labels are typically paired with stereotypes, and I don't want to be paired with a stereotype if I am not that stereotype. So...I simply believe in what I believe and like what I like. It's as simple as that, there don't need to be a label.

I play video games!! I don't play them as often as I did, but when I do play, I like Minecraft, Mortal Kombat (specifically nine and eleven [hah], Genshin Impact, Jetpack Joyride, GTA V, and Call of Duty.

It should be noted that I have a dark sense of humor (if that was not made obvious just now). So, please...if you're a snowflake, I might not be the best person to talk to. Or follow.

I really....really like dark themes. Horror movies? Love them. Blood? Love it. Bones? Love it. Death? Love it (in the sense of symbolism and poetry, I'm not going to go celebrate death, hello, don't be stupid). Clowns and zombies? BIG love for them. I could go on, seriously. I've always been considered weird (But I swear I wasn't made like this on purpose, I just grew up watching Tim Burton, Coraline, Courage the Cowardly Dog, 3AM slime videos on YouTube, etc, etc).

I believe in God, specifically Jesus, the Son of God. I don't know, man, the way he died to save the human race from ourselves, stood up for women when people condemned them, and preaches love just speaks to me.

Now...Remember the label thing. I am not a Christian. I do not consider myself a Christian. Sure, in technical terms, I am because I believe in Jesus and the Bible's teaching, however...Religion is dangerous. I made up my mind that I wasn't going to go by that label when I argued with a man on social media explaining that I don't want to be considered a Christian if other Christians were going to try and tell me what I should and should not believe in, and he, right there, began to tell me what I should and should not believe in.

I believe in what I believe in. Labels keep you into a tight box. If you go against those labels, you are free to believe in things outside of what that label tells you you should believe in or like. So, no I'm not a Christian. I'm just a servant to my God, and that's that.

With that in mind, I also won't refer to myself as a Christian because I'd rather my actions speak to you rather than my words. If I were to claim to be Christian and then acted the opposite of what a Christian is taught to act like in the Bible, then I would not be representing Christ in a good light and then further play into the Christian stereotype.

With all that said, I am not going to judge or condemn you if you believe in something else. If you are a Muslim, Buddhist, atheist, agnostic, satanist, I am not going to start yelling at you to repent and turn to God. It is not my job to convince you to turn to Jesus, and trying to do otherwise will only drive you away from the idea further. Believe in it if you want, or don't believe in it. It's your life.

Anyone is welcome in my bubble.

I'm very creative. I like to draw, write, listen and make music, singing, and do arts and crafts (when I have the money). I also have a lot of TBH (To Be Hobbies). Meaning, I'd like to get into wood carving, ice skating, volleyball, cello playing, soccer, voice acting, pharmacology, the list goes on... I like everything, what can I say?

Annnnndd...I think that's about it. If you somehow made it here, thank you, I'm glad this interested you as much as it did. If you have any questions, comment and I shall answer! Don't forget to check out my Instagram page and YouTube channel!!
